Built by Alco-Brooks in March of 1918, this massive 2-8-8-2 "Chesapeake" type steam locomotive was originally as Buffalo, Rochester & Pittsburgh #800. B&O usually referred to these as "EE-2's" rather than "Chesapeakes". The loco was absorbed into the B&O roster in 1938 and renumbered BO 7316. It lasted in service until being scrapped in December of 1950 after 32 years of total service. Original specs - XX class, 57" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 28x32" high pressure cylinders, 44x32" low pressure cylinders, engine wt of 569,000 lb, and an impressive tractive effort of 113,000 lb.
