Original plant siding ran along road between plant and UP mainline. Some time ago this siding was removed back to bridge where photo was taken. In summer of 2007 a new siding was constructed into the Seneca plant using concrete ties and heavy rail. The curve is such that Union Pacific locomotives would have difficulties so Seneca acquired a TrackMobile. As a note of interest the UP railroad station used to stand just left of UP tracks this side of the railroad crossing. You can see part of the old foundation. |
