| The Furka Oberalp Railway uses a very steep ramp to reach Goschenen at the north portal of the 9 mile long Gotthard Tunnel (just below the end of the train). The FO mainline over the Furka Pass crosses the tunnel at a much higher elevation. This shuttle train is on a spur line from Andermatt for those wishing to make a connection with trains to Italy or the north. |
