RMPX 6424 (GP40-2) of DT&I and GTW heritage is facing scrappers torch after road crossing collision         
This diesel was leading Alabama Gulf Coast Railway train southbound when it collided with a truck carrying freshly picked cotton between Atmore and Monroeville, AL. The engine would be scrapped on site due to extensive fire damage.
