NH I-4 Pacific pauses at Plainville with a westbound passenger train, probably sometime just prior to WW2. Exact date unavailable. The single track crossing at grade is the old New Haven & Northampton, aka the "Canal Line". Except for about 1 mile north and a couple miles south of here, the Canal is all but extinct. |
