| Denver & Rio Grande Western caboose 04343 at Chama, New Mexico on August 20, 1965, photo by Chuck Zeiler. A bit of research indicates this particular caboose was rebuilt from a boxcar. The caboose and locomotive are backing to couple to the rear of a train headed by K-36 484. They will then head up the mountain for Cumbres Pass. |
