Coal mines were major customers for the Norton-Chipman mixed train. Here Canadian Pacific A2q 4-4-0 144 picks-up a loaded hopper of coal. Before the CP lease the line was the New Brunswick Coal & Railway Co. A coal branch powered by elderly 4-4-0's is unusual to say the least. |
