| IOWA CITY IA Sept 17 1979 -- In rapidly fading lkght the engineer on CRANDIC SW8 92 works the throttle to push a cut of cars. The unit was built by EMD in October 1953. I was born in Iowa City in 1947 and actually have one vague memory of riding the intrurban line sometime in the early 50s. |
