This is the ______ train. Can someone fill in the blank....I have heard that this is a trash train that runs from KC to CHI ane also have heard that its a covered grain train.

Harry Edmunds General I suspect that this a unit coal train from the Powder River Basin of Wyoming. In 2009, BNSF and UP had problems with coal dust blowing from the loaded rail cars. Various remedies were tried and I think these cars were equipped with tarps to prevent the coal dust from blowing off the load. These cars appear to be rotary-dump coal cars. 5/8/2012 11:13:09 AM
