| Two Budd Cars make an "f" stop at Crugers, NY. Note that the lead RDC is an RDC 3. It is an ex NYC unit. I like this picture because first, it looks like it could be 1965 or 1955 and second because of the unusualness of seeing an RDC-3 at this time on a commuter run and third this photo clearly shows the train crew communicating with hand signals. Train is a mid-day local out of Harmon for Poughkeepsie. I do not remember the train number. Date is an approximation. I do know that this photo was taken late in the Penn Central era. |
