Sitting just ahead of #1624 is sister L-2 class loco #1629. It has also been stripped of its drive rod. The photographer notes on the back "This L-2 class 0-8-0 minus her drive rods will undoubtedly be scrapped, but a sister locomotive work on. No. 1628 is very much alive west, in Wheeling, W. Va." A couple photos of 1628 are in this album. |
