Originally built as Maine Central 252, B&M 252 is seen switching the Rotterdam Junction yard. These engine had alot of problems after the Guilford consolidation, due to their light-weight construction because of the small rail on many of MEC's lines. Many of these units suffered frame damage due to being placed in heavy drag services. I believe they tried to beef up the frames on them, but it didn't always work. |
