| Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad 4-6-2 Class S-3 2961, date, location, and photographer unknown, Chuck Zeiler collection. According to the February 1, 1952 CB&Q Locomotive Assignment Sheet, number 2961 was assigned to the Wymore Division. Number 2961 was built by Baldwin in 1915 (c/n 42161) and sold for scrap in December 1952. It appears to have been converted to burn oil, I do not know the date of that conversion. |
