Been a long time coming  Contributor's Pick!       
This ex-C&NW line saw its last train in October, 1996, when WSOR took over the ex-C&NW!Madison yard from UP. The communities of Fitchburg and Oregon bought the line rather than allow it to be abandoned for just this reason.
