| An FA leads this inbound Ronkonkoma train. The unit number is stenciled on the nose, another of the many variations of the LIRR paint scheme. The station at Farmingdale, seen at right in the background, was an attractive brick structure that seemed too big for the ridership the station handled. The electrification project is well along here, with a new high level platform and third rail installed, and a new signal bridge for a yet to be installed interlocking. |
