St. Louis Car Company constructed this vehicle in 1928 as a doodlebug for the Seaboard Air Line as their number 2023. Acquired and converted to its current configuration by Sperry in 1945, it served detecting flaws in rails over the US rail network until 2003 when it was retired from active service. |
