SCL-L&N-SP Run-Through Train
This westbound run-through train is on its way from the Louisville & Nashville to the Southern Pacific and it has just met an eastbound Southern Railway transfer run. The red-over-red-over-yellow signal shows that it will now cross over onto the eastbound track to continue its run to the Huey P. Long Bridge and the Espee's Avondale Yard. The train is on the Southern Railway at East City Junction and its engines are SCL GP40 1546, SCL U36B 1813, SP U25B 6753 and GP35 6602. (approximate month and day)

Justin Dzan General Nice picture, I remember the SP run-through from spending a lot of time growing up in Gulfport, MS. As a kid I figured out it was the SP train coming from the sound of the horn. More like the IC trains around Gulfport than the L&N/Seaboard stuff. Thanks for the memories. 7/24/2016 11:12:42 AM
