9893 something?????         
MY camera went out of fous when I took this photo but this unit leads a eastbound freight. It had absolutely no markings. No UP markings or leasing co. markings but the number I believe is 9893??? If anyone wants to guess what this unit might be that would be appreciated.

Matthew Liptak General UP never owned any C40-8s numbered higher than 9355, so 9893 is most likely incorrect unless whoever owns it now used UP-style numbering to renumber it (highly unlikely). The font used on the radiator wings looks like UP's font though. CN bought a couple C40-8s from UP a while ago, but they were all clearly marked as CN. This unit is puzzling. 6/18/2015 12:16:07 PM
