| As the Ronkonkoma electrification project nearedcompletion, some of the stations were finished and ready to enter service. As this happened, trains began stopping at the new platforms and the old ones were removed from service. One such place was Bethpage, where the new station is in use, though the official opening is still three months off. This group of home bound commuters undoubtedly appreciated the improvement. |
