Once the train is clear of East Cabin, the engineer peels back the throttle to run 8 for the fast trip to Portage. The CC&P was responsible for the maintenance and dipatching of the double track between East Cabin and Portage and the BN had trackage rights. The BN experienced frequent delays by the CC&P and purchased the westbound track in 1992 and took over dispatching duties. |
