Electrified. Here is an original (fuzzy) photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in North Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on 18 June 1962. Shown here is PRR engine #8976, a BS-12 built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1951 and rated at 1,200 horsepower. Heading South, it has just passed through the North Philadelphia Station with N-6B caboose #981212 in tow. |
