Caught by an unknown photographer, NSW #73 sits in an abandoned spot while a sister unit powers up. Looks are deceiving. #73 has the distincton of being the last steam locomotive used at Northwest Steel & Wire in December of 1980 and one of the very last working industrial steam engines in the United States. #73 was then donated to the town of Sterling and placed in honor by the company owner's house. |
