| The largest piece of motive power on the Saratoga & North Creek line, B39-8E was brought in at the start of operations by parent Iowa Pacific to handle freight service. As the freight operations have been slow to materialize the unit has found a role in passenger service on the railroad's daily trains between the Amtrak station at Saratoga and the historic North Creek depot. |
