Here is the second of two original photos by an unidentified photographer of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1589, a G-5S (4-6-0) "Ten-Wheeler" built in Juniata during 1923 and retired in January of 1953. Normally confined to passenger service, #1589 and its crew are shown here doing some local switching on a frigid winter's day. The date and the location are approximations.
