Huntingdon. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Bill Price that was taken near Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, on 7 October 1946. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6742, an M-1A (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during July of 1930 and retired in September of 1952 after 22 years of faithful service. It's pulling some special-handling cargo from Altoona to Enola. |
