SFM. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken near Duncannon, Pennsylvania, on 6 November 1956. The photographer is not identified. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6811, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during August of 1926 and retired in September of 1959 after 33 years of faithful service. In this context, it's hauling a westbound string of hopper cars under Signal Bridge #1160. |
