| Southern Railway GP35 2684 was on the Birmingham-Houston run-through train and had just been delivered to the Southern Pacific at the Central Avenue grade crossing, near the east end of the HUEY P. LONG BRIDGE. The locomotive was retired by the Norfolk Southern in October 1992 and was sold for scrap to Steel Processing Services at Albertville, Alabama in December 1993. |
