This appears to be an EMD builder photo taken shortly after leaving the assembly line. Built by EMD in April of 1949, this was a 600 hp switcher with a V6 configuration in its 567 engine. It served the Boston & Maine until being sold sometime between 1984-1989 to the Springfield Terminal in Portland, ME.
