East Altoona. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken in East Altoona, Pennsylvania, c. 1948. The photographer is not identified. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6166, a J-1 (2-10-4) "Texas" built in Juniata during March of 1944 and retired in April of 1959 after just 15 years of revenue service.
