| Interesting solar "sunroom" car built by Pullman-Standard in 1956 as Seaboard Airline #20. It was a 5 bedroom, buffet lounge and "solarium". Later merged into the Seaboard Coast Line as #6501 and then Amtrak as #3231. One note that was mentioned is due to the glass roof panels, the heat buildup in the "solarium" part could be excessive and difficult to cool down. |
