I could not get a better picture without trespassing on railroad property. Since this was parked next to the railroad offices, I did not think that this was a good idea.

Padraic McCarthy General This is a Flanger, not a Transfer Caboose. It is hard to see, but in the middle of the car there is a large blade that drops down to clear the gauge of snow and ice, averting build-up and possible derailments/burned out traction motors. 2/28/2007 9:04:05 PM
