Wood. Here is an image of a photo by Don Wood that was taken near Duncannon, Pennsylvania, in December of 1954. Wood's Caption: "PG5 behind M1 4-8-2 6907 says it all. Here is the big time East the way you like to remember it." Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6907, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in November of 1926 and retired in May of 1957 after 31 years of service. Rockin' 'n' rollin' on a brisk Winter's day! William E. Burket Collection. |
