Built by Alco in November of 1947 as MILW #1679 (serial #75549), the switcher was later renumbered 839. Eventually it was sold to Republic Steel via Silcott in July of 1961. Specs - 10-AS class, 1000 hp, engine weight of 233,00 lb. An unknown photographer took this photo using Kodak 116 film for a print size of 2 3/8 x 4 1/4" that was scanned. |
