| This Alco RS1 switcher started out in April of 1943 as MILW #1677 (serial #70815) but was renumbered later to MILW #874. After years of service, it was traded in to EMD for a new GP40 in 1967. Specs - 10-ARS class, 1000hp, engine weight of 253,000 lb. An unknown photographer took this photo using Kodak 116 film for a print size of 2 3/8 x 4 1/4" that was scanned. |
