CSX 6131 on the James River Line
Title:  CSX 6131 on the James River Line
Description:  8.9.1990 Balcony Falls, VA. CSX 6131 leads 6561, and 5535 on an eastbound unit coal train down the James River Line toward Newport News. The consist is approaching the SD Cabin signal bridge marking the end of the double track that started back at the Natural Bridge Station. In the far distance is Big House Mountain which is just west of Lexington. I few days after taking this photograph, my portable scan was stolen from the glovebox while my Jeep Wagoneer, seen in the photo, was being serviced in Richmond. For several years I flew "blind" until I was able afford a replacement.

Description:  CSX B30-7 5535 on a siding in the yard at Manchester. This siding ceased to exist when they built the new runaround track.!CSX C40-8 7554 bringing a south-bound train from Birmingham into the yard with a mix of foreign-lease power. This picture was taken the morning of Manchester Railroad days gestival at Manchester, Ga. This picture was taken at about 8:30am while it was a little bit foggy that morning. I was still playing with my new camera at the time.
